I have just read Tender Grace and I LOVE IT. In fact I came to your website hoping that I would find that you had written something else. Well, get on the stick and write! I have never been so impressed with a first book. In fact I will probably read it again and again before you come out with a new one. I am a divorcee not a widow but I love the Bible verses from John and read them even though they are not part of Bible Study. They definitely give you something to think about. Thank you for this book. I thank God for you and your ability to write in a way I can identify with. Keep up the good work. God bless you. Kathy

I just read Tender Grace.  I was intrigued by the cover, and didn’t really know what it was about, but I was smitten by Audrey and her journey ... through the book of John, and across the country.  It was uplifting to see her come through her grief into gratitude.  I am 51 years old, and one of my dreams is to travel cross-country with no set schedule or destination.  Through your book, I lived that dream vicariously.  Thank you.

Excellent book. As a recent widow, I have experienced many of the emotions of which you write. Mostly, “I don’t want to do this,“  whether it’s cook a meal for myself (I don’t) or handle affairs of the estate or get out of my home for more than just cat food, dog food and work… the moment the alarm sounds of a morning my first thought is: “He’s not here. I can’t do this.“ And little by little, moment by moment, you can. But you don’t think about tomorrow or the tomorrow after that, and suddenly one day, it doesn’t hurt with every breath you take. Taking the virtual journey with Audrey has helped me realize that there is more to my world than work and home…. and he wouldn’t want me to give up and die just because he moved on to another realm. Amazingly touching book. Thanks. For putting into words that things I have not been able to say for 16 months.

Hey Jackine,
Very arts-y sight you have here.
I can’t wait to finished Tender Grace. I’ve enjoyed laughing, hurting, and rejoycing with the characters thus far. I can’t wait to see where the book is going. I think I might have it figured out, maybe. Great novel so far I will highly recomend it to my reading friends.
I just have one question: where and how did the idea for the book arise?
I can’t wait to take another trip with you!!! I can barily put the book down.
Thanks for the great read,
