Jackina,  Looking forward to seeing you at Oil Belt on the 17th of April.  Read your book Tender Grace.  Enjoyed it very much.  Trying to find TWR to read it as well.

Your book Tender Grace really ministered to me and my mom as we are grieving the loss of my dad.  Thank you!  I am a volunteer speaker for the American Heart Association and I noticed that you taught a speech class for women.  Do you have any materials I could purchase, or book you recommend?  http://www.pimsmultimedia.com/goredforwomen/michelle.php

Hi Mrs. Stark,
I run a blog over at http://hersilentmusings.blogspot.com where I do book reviews and giveaways. I’ve recently worked with Jennifer Donnelly, Nicole Baart, Bethany Pierce, Jennifer Erin Valent, and Chris Fabry on giveaways and Q&A’s.  I’ve been interested in reading your novel Things Worth Remembering for some time now, and was wondering if you would be interested in participating in a giveaway and Q&A for my blog. If not, that’s perfectly fine; I will understand.  Just email me back at your earliest convenience. I would love to read and review your book!
Best Wishes,
Lauren

hi jackina…
i just finished reading “tender grace.“ it was such an amazing book for me because it is so parallel to my own life. i am 54 and my husband michael (also known as a “tom” selleck look alike)  died suddenly this past july 24. audrey and i both have names that begin with an “a”.  audrey lives in springfield, missouri with is an hour away from tablerock lake where my husband died(we were on vacation). on page 12 she says she can only be a decent nana for 24 hours. i have two grandaughters (ages 7 and 8) and that is exactly how i feel. audrey refers to her home as a “tomb”.  i haven’t wanted anyone here because it reminds too much of the fact that my husband is not here. i thought “tomb” was a good descriptive word for how i feel about the house. audrey’s trip to hotel del coronado…my husband and i were there four years ago while visiting his sister on coronado island! it was breathtaking! before i forget,  audrey’s visit to oklahoma city, my daughter stopped there in sept on her move back to the east coast from the west coast! audrey’s walk on the beach for the first time without tom…the beach was “our place”  since we met when i was 18. i haven’t been able to go for that walk yet. the reference to the oprah and gayle road trip show…i watched that show!
it just amazed me that you wrote with such perspective on widowhood and that were so many parallels between the book and my life.  i am so grateful to my neighbors daughter (she is 19) that suggested i read the book. even though it is fiction it gives me hope that someday i will find my way in the world again.

Our names are Adam & Amber Stutzman, we live in Silverton Oregon. Our family has been in the process of adopting a baby girl from Ethiopia for the past year and are getting very close. We are going through the agency All God’s Children International out of Portland.
It has been a long, hard and expensive road requiring a lot of patience. We are officially number 18 on the waitlist to receive our child, and have over the past year, done many fundraisers in order to raise the needed $25,000 to adopt her. After all the hard work, we will finally be traveling to pick her up sometime early this summer. We are going to be ending our fundraisings with a Silent Auction and Dessert Night at our church, Emmanuel Bible in Pratum, on April 22nd.
We are trying to find auction items….and we were wondering if you would consider donating one of your books, or anything at all for the auction…...If you can’t we totally understand- but thank you for considering us! We really love your stories and the integrity that you show!
Please feel free to visit our adoption blog page, where we try to keep everyone posted on all the events which we have been going through, and what our latest waitlist number is. The blog page can be found at………..
